2 Weeks of Europe

This was our first day in Milan. After NO sleep on an 13+ airplane rides. Kelly really wanted to see this church(Duomo) It took us a while to get there cause we got off the plane, took a train, couldn't find our hotel, an hour and a half later found it and left to the Duomo. Which you had to take another train/subway to see. Once you got to the Duomo you had to climb a spiral enclosed marbel staircase till you felt like your legs were going numb. But well worth it. :) It was so beautiful. It looks great in pictures but even better in person.

This is in Barcelone, Spain at a Monistary clear up in the mountains. Joanne and I couldn't believe how big the doors were and we weren't very good about listening to our tour guide so we snuck over and snapped a couple pictures. We REALLY wanted to go hang on the light cause it was huge but Blake and Brandt distracted us.

This is par of the Monistary. Barcelona, Spain.

A long bus ride to the top to see the Monistary.

Shelly and I at our formal night on the cruise ship.

(Sorry my pictures are not in order) This is right next to the Monistary to show how high you have to climb to see it.

Shelly and I on the cruise ship with the weird lights that changed colors. This was before we left on our excursion in Alicante(Canary Islands) to hike a 6km(4.5 miles) a volcano.

This was our Matridee who gave us coke like 3 nights in a row becuase we were Mormon.

(Like I said, not in order) This was part of the volcano rock we saw on our way up to the huge volcano. Alicante is pretty much covered in volcanic rock. We hiked on it on our way back to the bus! It reminds me of Hawaii alot but 10X the amount of volcanic rock. They pride themselves in using the rock to help grow farms. What the rock does is allow the humidity and moisture to stay in the ground so they NEVER have to water the plants.

Tenerife, Canary Islands. Our excursion for the day was to go to a theme park there cause that is what they are known for. But, everywhere you do go they really pride themselves on their volocanos. Tenerife has an active volcano that was covered in snow so we didnt want to go see it. (it snowed at home) At Loro Parque which is the animal theme park at Tenerife they have a whale show...which all the whales were born and raised at Sea World in California and brought to Tenerife. Plus there was a dolphin show.

Shaun, Joanne, Me, and Shelly all crammed in the back of a cab so we could fit all 9 of us in 2 cabs. The reason we crammed in is cause we had to make it back in time to get on the ship. This was Malaga, Spain. Sandy's nephew Alix lives in Malaga and knows Spanish so we asked him to come hang out with us while we were in port. He took us up on a 2 hour bus ride to Rhonda. We had no idea what we were getting our selves into. lol. It was so beautful it was one of my favorite places. So to make it back in time we crammed.

Rhonda, Spain. This was the most beautfil place. In Europe everything is bigger and this was huge. With a river flowing underneath it and a view from every angle I couldn't put all the pictures up so I put one of my favorites. It is a really must see place to experience.

The Colloseum! Rome, Italy. I loved it! It was beautiful and so unique I just couldn't get enough of the Colloseum and that was our first day in Rome! We actually disembarked off of the cruise ship 2 days early at Rome so we could see more of Rome. I loved it. It was so nice to get fresh air (cause everyone smokes there) and to ride a double decker bus around to see the sites.

Joanne, Me, and Shelly at the Colloseum. (I am neglecting Blake apparently in my pictures)

Florence, Italy. We spent the night right next to this church which is 1 of 3 most famous sites in Italy. Yet, it is just ANOTHER church! lol. The most unique thing about it is that it took roughly 150 years to build.

My picture got messed up. This is Blake and I at the Duomo(top) It was freezing in Italy and I wasn't feeling too hot with no sleep and no real food.

The one thing I really missed is American food. OH MY! I am to this day so sick of pizza I haven't had any Italian food even though it is Americanized. I won't eat it. Give me another two weeks. We had pizza every day and even though they have fresh cheese they put on their pizza it still stunk. Holy Moly. This is going to be so sad but they have McDonalds everywhere in Europe and a Burger King sometimes. One night I was just sick as a dog of Italian food I turned the corner and saw the yellow arches and almost started crying I was so happy. I had a Big Mac that i will cherish forever. lol.

The worst part is this isn't all the pictures...after I took the last picture of the Colloseum my camera battery died. It was so depressing cause the Colloseum was our first stop of the day in Rome and it was like 9 in the morning. So luckily, my cute Blake said to me, "I have my camera. Now you HAVE to sit back and relax and enjoy the trip. You worry about getting pictures and are not in the pictures." So Joanne, Shelly, Sandy, and Blake took extra pictures for me and with me in them. Except for the fact Shelly's camera battery died like 10 minutes after mine. It also didn't help that Shelly said,"I never sleep walk, I just talk in my sleep" Well the little sleep walker tried to put our books in the fridge and probably unplugged my camera battery from the charger. haha.

So there is more pictures to come even my favorite place the Trevi Fountain and the picture of the Pope. But its Christmas Eve and I still have lots of presents to wrap. :D

Merry Christmas!

I'm Back!!!

It feels so good to be home...let alone it AMERICA! I didn't realize how much I would miss just being in America and all the wonderful food, snacks (junkfood), and things available that you do not get outside the states.

Italy was beautiful. Pictures will post later! I could have stayed in Rome for a week. I loved all the tourist spots. The one thing that I really related to Italy was it was like downtown Salt Lake. You see all these buildings and you turn a corner and this beautiful Temple is there in the middle of everything. The Trevi fountain was my favorite to see.

Once we disembarked off the boat at Rome we stayed in the city and the first stop was the colloseum. My last picture of the colloseum my camera battery died!! (I think my bunkmate was sleep walking at unplugged it) but luckily Blake had his camera and took some great pictures so I could just sit back and enjoy.

I can't believe Christmas is just around the corner! It really didn't hit me until I walked in my front door and my house is decorated! They played christmas music on the ship but it isn't the same cause it was humid and 75 degrees. We had a couple of ports that we were unable to stop at so we had a couple of unscheduled stops but that made the cruise more exciting.

There is so much we did in 2 weeks I don't know where to even start! For our dinner everynight we noticed the Matridee (he is the boss of the dinners) was watching us and he came over and asked if we are one family...we said yes. We even said some are missing and he was shocked. After dinner he said tomorrow he will bring us some of his best wine for our patients with dinner and Sandy(Blake's mom) said we don't drink wine. He was stunned then in his Italian accent he said,"Mormon?" we said, "YEAH!" The next night for dinner he came over with a can of coke for everyone at our table and poored it in our wine glasses.

I will post pictures soon with some captures of the trip.

It has been a nightmare this week cramming in school and work all at the same time and with final projects and tests I feel like I am never going to be able to have some TURKEY! Now the only thing I have left to do is 4 math assignments, 1 math test, 2 accounting quizzes, and one final project which contains a transmittal report, progress report, and a 5 page body...thats only my part. Its a group project. That looks so much worse than it sounds and it has actually come down alot. I probably wouldn't be functional with out Blake.

With Blake I have been able to: pack, do laundry, clean my room, write the transmittal, title, executive summary, and progress report, finish 6 math assignments in one night, 3 accounting homework assignments in the same night, and be in bed by 10:30. It doesn't help that I have no more motivation in me to finish the school year and just get ready for the cruise...with out Blake I would probably be failing ALL my classes. (I find math classes in general are very redundant and annoying)

Thank goodness for BLAKE! :D

One week!

I only have one week till I am on an airplane headed to my two week vacation!
This week has been very crazy getting all my school work done before my trip. I am done with Accounting though! It felt so good after the final was over with (which took me 2 hours). At work I have been getting harrassed like no other about the cruise. It is officially called the "Engagement Cruise" at work...no matter how many times I say "I AM NOT GETTING ENGAGED". One of the guys gave me a 20 minute talk that I need to put my list of demands together so Blake will know I am ready to get married. Then another one said, "my neice got invited on a cruise and she got engaged.." Sorry folks...I am not getting engaged on the cruise, I am not going to put a list of demands together. ha ha.

2 Weeks!

2 weeks from today I will be in Italy!! Unfortunately I will not be doing any black friday shopping with my dad. (Which is my favorite) He spoils me! I convince him to get me the good stuff...this will be the first year I miss it. Poor dad.
I am really looking forward to being in Italy that I have been cramming my school to finish before I leave. (never recommended). Last night I fell asleep in the middle of an online test... Good thing Blake sat by my side to help me stay awake and keep on going. To get ready for the cruise (we have to pack kinda light) I went shopping! I got the new flip camera and sold my old one. I picked up an awesome skirt (hate shopping for skirts) and I even stopped in to show my brother which Thomas Kinkade picture I want for Christmas.
After all that, I am trying to finish all my work projects before I leave which at work I get there and the next thing I know its 5:30 and its a ghost town at work.

Tonight I am hoping for a redbox and take out.
Redbox pick of the night: How to Train your Dragon
Take out: Panda

**Congrats to Nicole on the engagement**
**Happy Birthday to Chelsey, Today**

Europe I Can't Wait to Meet You!

The second cruise that I will go on is to Europe! I am so excited! It can't wait for a 2 week vacation! No cell phone, no internet...(well maybe), and no WORK or SCHOOL! Costa Cruise. :)

It is the longest cruise ship for Costa Cruise lines. They have 13 bars...and not just alcohol...chocolate bars with fountains and desserts gallore. I will hit Rome and see some beautiful sites. We get on the boat in Italy where I will be purse shopping. When my parents went to Italy, my mom came back with the cutest mustard yellow coach purse...I want one bad. I wanted hers but dad wouldn't let me. He said, "Go get your own." So since I am going on this cruise with Blake's family I had to get permission to leave work and school. So when I decided to go and had to explain that I was going I simply told him "I am going to get my own mustard yellow coach purse." lol. I thought it would be a colder cruise where I pack long sleeves. Well I guess it will be beautiful warm weather and the 4 pools on the ship will be heated. Plus the water slide looks awesome! At the top of the cruise ship down to the 2nd pool. I have needed a serious vacation for a long time. School just gets you down and work is tiring. My days have consisted of wake up, get ready, go to school, go to work, come home, do homework, and go to sleep. Then do it all over again! I am ready for my bon voyage! lol.

What's Yours Like?

I have a NEW game!!!!! It is hilarious...I saw it at the store and had to buy it. It was between What's yours like and Things. So in the end Natalie got things and I got Whats yours like. Now I have a plan that I am thinking about doing one night...COUPLES NIGHT! You have your girls night and your guys night...you never have COUPLES NIGHT!!!

I hate the fact that school gives me 7 hours of homework a night...literally, and then on the weekends I am too tired to even go out. Then, when we decide to go out it is always Blake and I. Alone. I would be happy with chinese take out and a redbox with sweat shorts and a vanilla coke to satifisy me for the weekend....but I think its time to get out! OUT OF A RUT!

Next on the agenda is: a Glitter Toe Party.(Sorry boys) Shelly is in Nail School and she has learned and can do glitter toes! They are so fun. She has offered to do them for $10 so if you are interested write/text me. Or if you want a certain glitter on your toes buy the glitter for Shelly(for 2 its about $10 at Roberts) so she can start building her collection.

I have some awesome ideas for the COUPLES NIGHT so if you would also like to get out of a RUT same thing write/text me.

Bye Bye Summer!

It has been so crazy I have had to time to blog, I glance at facebook, and I will probably forget something. So as of May: Blake and I went down to St. George with Kyle and Natalie and the kids for the weekend. See his grandparents and do a little shopping/golfing. June: We had Girls Night at Natalie's, McMillan Family Reunion at Grandpa's, Grandpa had strokes, and the Princess Festival with Mckayla. We also went golfing with Kyle and Natalie up at Soldier Hollow. My first time golfing a course and we did all 18 holes! July: where do I even begin! The first week in July we were at Fish Lake, then we went to the cabin the next weekend, at the end of July we were at Lake Powell feeling solar powered by the sun. :) While I would definately think Blake would be broken after that trip he felt pretty good...(No work, and all play) August: We went up to the cabin a few times and then MY BIRTHDAY! Was way fun. Adam and I haven't celebrated our birthday together in 3 years! Work took me to Goodwood BBQ(one of my fave's) then after work we had a dinner then we had a little pool party at Blake's house where he gave me a....(NO RING) sorry to disappoint people but no ring. haha. He gave me an Ipad! Woohoo! Its practically my new boyfriend. j/k. Then we went and saw Lion King the play. It was fantastic!!!! I loved it! Since school has started now instead of doing homework I will blog. haha. Hopefully I left nothing out!

><((((o> Fish Lake 2010 ><((((o>

I love the mountains with fresh air and nothing to do but enjoy nature for once. It was from 55-65 degrees during the day and getting down in the 40's at night. I run on a hot temperature as it is, I was in heaven. This is how our trip went. First couple of days it was really windy which made huge white caps on the water so I didn't go out in the boat. I went and took some nature pictures **which gives me ideas for next family pictures Chels....wink wink** Then on to enjoy some good ol' Granddad time which we played a round of golf...not the typical golf. The McMillan Family Golf Game (which apparently is now in stores), Granddad and I were on a team...THE WINNING TEAM! We dominated. :) On to shootin' some guns! I don't like guns...end of story. So I just take videos and pictures while standing by. It doesn't help that this trip since I didn't get to go to Eclipse before I left that I took the book to read.
Fishing! Since last year I have been determined to catch a Mackinaw...ooooh i drool at the thought of catching a huge fish out of that lake. The record there is 42lbs and if you catch anything below that you have to return it to the lake after taking some pictures of it first. Well last year we only went out once...and no Mackinaw. This year we went out once...No Mackinaw!!! The only happy part about it all is that we got a couple hits! So during the day with everyone we decided to go trout fishing. We went across the lake by Mytoge Mountain (a steep mountain on the other side of the lake) Out of no where my dad spots a fawn!! A little baby fawn!!! That thing is on full zoom. I ended up taking a nap since we wake up so early to fish and during my nap they found its TWIN!! I was out cold so no twin pictures :(
Next we took a visit to the Fish Lake Lodge..which I swear its been there for a hundred years. Sat in the awesome rocking chairs as my brother (and picture buddy) for this trip sat next to me. Tried to show how big the Lodge is when you stand on the back deck and my family thinking **she is taking yet another picture** To slow things down we always end up playing a game. Bring on the Pirates Dice! Pirates of the Caribbean has a part in the movie that they are Davie Jones' boat and they are playing a game of dice and wagering years of service. Which Disney.. those fantastic people.. haha. made the game. It is probably one of the funnest games I have played. Date night/family game night/girls night. It works for them all. **HIGHLY recommended** That sums up Fish Lake.
I can't wait to go next year!!

Golf??

Yep! I went golfing! Well I only hit a bucket cause I knew I would be terrible. The "Pro's" were teaching me how to even golf...but my golf attire wasn't really helping. IN the end I ended up doing decent for a first timer...but I end up being goofy trying to hold my golf club in between my legs while taking off my jacket. As you can see...it didn't really work. As soon as I would bend down to put a ball on the tee, both Austin and Scott would hit and there golf balls would go flyin'! Oh well, alteast I had Erika to help me plus I had fun! Thanks guys!

GIRLS NIGHT!!

ITS OFFICIAL!!!!!!!!

We are having girls night every month. I didn't start taking pictures til we got to Natalie's house. She did a THEMED girls night!! She is so creative!! It was wonderful! Usually we have just the adults in on the fun but Mckayla was such a good little helper she got to join this one. Everything was set up and decorated when we arrived. Dinner was planned out with our theme. It was perfect! After dinner we played the game things, which I recommend to anyone. Usually we play a few different games but we were pretty much laughing our guts out to not stop. NEXT STOP.... MY house!
